So under 6 or take the flames -1 for a 2.65 payout???? I like both, and Minnie without Zucker is a very boring squad. Sadly Dumba has a good chance on leading the team with SOG's.

Top right handed UFA’s at the end of 2022

Philip Kessel AZ UFA 34 RW R $6,800,000

Dustin Brown LAK UFA 37 RW R $5,875,000

Cal Clutterbuck NYI UFA 34 RW R $3,500,000
Jay Beagle VAN UFA 36 RW R $3,000,000
Claude Giroux PHI UFA 34 C R $8,275,000
Joe Pavelski DAL UFA 38 C R $7,000,000

Patrice Bergeron BOS UFA 37 C R $6,875,000
Filip Forsberg NSH UFA 28 C R $6,000,000
Mika Zibanejad NYR UFA 29 C R $5,350,000
Jeff Carter LAK UFA 37 C R $5,272,727
Vincent Trocheck FLA UFA 29 C R $4,750,000

Rickard Rakell ANA UFA 29 C R $3,789,444
Calle Jarnkrok NSH UFA 31 C R $2,000,000
Noel Acciari FLA UFA 31 C R $1,666,666
Nic Dowd WAS UFA 32 C R $750,000

I thought it would be interesting to discuss these guys rather then all the names that continue to pop up at the moment based on BT looking for players with term.

Interesting names in order for me.

Mika Zabanejad maximize return on a rebuilding team.
Claude Giroux- checks so many boxes for this team its not even funny
Filip Forsberg – would look amazing on a line with Johnny and Money
Rickard Rakell- another great fit and very manageable cap hit

Rickard Rakell honestly seems like the most realistic name on the list. The Ducks are not going to make the playoffs, he’s younger, has term, low cap, size and has playoff experience.

Thoughts?

Flames stumble this year again. Fire Treliving hire Hunter. After all the flak he took for player selection for the juniors he gets a big Fuk you to all his critisizers. Best hockey guy not an NHL gm yet.

Tre has done a good job. Stumbling out of the gate has nothing to do with the general manager that’s up that’s on the players and the coach.. He has put the pieces together to succeed they did last year. It’s not his fault that they’re not succeeding right now same team.same pretty well everything.why would you want to put Tim Hunter who I think is going to be a fantastic Front end office guy.he Is basically a rookie.makes no sense start him off In the NHL as a gm. Hunter doesn’t have the savvy negotiating skills as treliving does. Start him off as a assistant GM or GM in the American League but not right away as a general manager.

Why are they putting Bennett on the fourth line with Jankowski move Lucic down put backlund in Lucic spot. Put Bennett to the second line or dube with Goudreau and Monahan or put backlund at centre and get Jankowski out of there.

Sorry Boss!! What would you suggest we talk about?

Friedman on hockey night in Canada said last night that we weren’t interested in rentals so I am just so sorry for looking at who had expiring contracts in the next couple of years.

Listen I wont let it happen again!

Oh yes that is a different story. He was an assistant in Toronto for awhile. Good hockey guy. Hard nosed player too

Totally agree!
He is having a bit of a down season so price should be reasonable.
FLA has some interesting wing options... Hoffman, Dadanov and I also think Connolly would be a good fit in Cal.
I also really like Rust but Pitt wont be selling. He is a tank on his skates and has big time finish.

Ha, maybe I mistook it, but I read that as free agents we should be targeting when their contracts are up in 2022... Figured that we were realllllly stretching for topics if we weren't even looking at FAs this year...

Might have too! Was hard to stay excited for long when the Wild always regained the lead minutes after we kept tying it. The boys pulled through though!

Ya took it that way too first when i saw the list. I was like why are we discussing free agents we should be targeting in couple years Then when i read the explanation on us targeting players who have term, it makes total sense

Last night they moved Mangiapani down to the 4th and Bennett up. Mang has been pretty ordinary since his 3 point night, might be time to mix up that line again. Do the Dube on the 2nd for a while!
